Tailwind
Utility CSS, with the colours and fonts set from the admin, not the code.
All three kits are styled with Tailwind, and all three put the brand in the admin rather than the stylesheet. The compiled CSS ships in the repository, so a new site needs no Node build to look right. Colours, fonts and corner radius are CSS variables written into the page from the admin's settings, which is why recolouring a site is a form, not a rebuild.
Local Lab (Tailwind 3) maps its colour names to those variables and offers 32 Google Fonts from a dropdown. Launch Lab (Tailwind 3) goes further: four preset looks over five choices (home layout, listing layout, hero, typeface, shape), importable brand kits with a contrast check, and a favicon and share image drawn from the brand mark. Job Lab (Tailwind 4) keeps its tokens in CSS with seven preset themes, a custom theme, and light, dark or system mode chosen by the admin.
Worth knowing#
You only need Node if you add new utility classes to a template. Then you rebuild the CSS file once and commit it.
Launch Lab's brand page grades the contrast of your colours against WCAG, so a pale accent on white gets flagged before a visitor sees it.
